Again, the purpose of the App Store is to have a place to sell software AND to keep it up to date. I've read several negative posts on Apple's App Store, with several users complaining of a POPUP for a newer version but no way to download it. FYI, 7.4 is what Atomix has on it's website as the latest for the Home Edition for MAC, so the Home Edition for MAC in the Apple App Store isn't the most current version available. Many updates add new controllers and features which don't work in the free version. It could be that the Free version has not needed any updates since 7.0.5. The answer is correct that it is best to download VDJ from the VDJ website and not even use the App Store. As a MAC user, the App Store has been awesome in keeping a lot of software up to date! So the question from the user was valid. It is clear that Atomix is using the App Store for only marketing VirtualDJ and not using the Apple App Store as it is meant to be, which is to help sell software to the entire MAC user base and keep the software up to date! Atomix hasn't updated it in the App Store since August 29th, 2011 and doesn't have the Professional Version available in the App Store, which isn't the intent of the App Store, and indicates that Atomix is using it for Marketing only, which isn't the App Store's purpose. Since the HOME edition in the App Store doesn't have any built in upgrade method to circumvent Apple's 30% take on revenue, I'm assuming it was a special build by Atomix, which hasn't been updated since August 2011. Why would you ask VDJ ? ask Apple download the latest version from this site right here Can you explain why it's an Apple question? Why would someone ask Apple for which version is in the Apple App Store? It's the developer (Atomix) who puts the software on there, which Apple only approves before releasing but not much more.
